Welcome

Play is the language of therapy for children. Where adults use their words, children use play and  their imagination to work through the challenges they face in life.

The decision to seek therapy for your child is not a decision made lightly. Your relationship with your child is likely one of the most important relationships in their, and your life. If something is concerning you, it is okay to ask for help.

This website provides more information about who I am and the kinds of work I do. Please explore, and if you have further questions, or feel I could be helpful to you and your family, I can be reached through the contact page or by phone at (607) 229-9171.

As a clinical child psychologist, for 10 years, I have used play therapy to help children face a range of difficulties. I aim to provide children with the chance to engage in play in the service of helping them develop better over-all well-being. I work with parents to better understand difficult behaviors and create more fulfilling relationships with their children.

Good advice?
Empathy first.
In play, a child always behaves beyond his average age, above his daily behavior. In play it is as though
he were a head taller than himself.
